And it’s been a wild ride with the book placing on the Amazon charts and garnering 4 and 5 star reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and Netgalley! On Day 2 of the launch FAERIES DON’T LIE got up to #72 Free Top 100 in Amazon and #2 Free for all YA and Teen books for Fantasy and Sci-Fi! So YES…. I can technically use the term – BESTSELLER!

In addition to gorgeous graphics bookstagrammers and bookbloggers created and shared with their communities , they also provided comps. This one from Ciera Parr, reader, reviewer & editor, made my heart happy: “Hey Besties, are you a fan of Sarah Noffke, Sylvia Mercedes, Elise Kova, or SJM? Well, then let me introduce you to…Faeries Don’t Lie.”

WHAT INCREDIBLE names to be compared to!! The comps I had chosen awhile back were Wicked Lovely meets Throne of Glass. I believe I’m on target.

I had some other firsts since my last Wyrd and the Wisp newsletter:

  • First book signing at a two-day Faery Festival. Sold quite a few books…including a couple of copies to a book club… while enjoying gnomes marching about playing om-pa-pa music and giving bad advice. AND a lovely lady who came around with a lively dragon on her shoulder. Picture above.
  • First Live Facebook event. Plenty of chatter on the live launch event. We had almost 400 comments, lots of amazing questions to answer and games to play. Special thanks to Colin & Leann for being my background wranglers and helpers!
  • First podcast as a guest on Cursed Dragon Ship To avoid dead time, start at about 4:20. Plus check out the other author interviews on their site. You may find your next great read!
  • First time participating in a promo contest. So next goal? Get up the charts on the paid side of Amazon! 🙂 If you’d like to help me with this, please consider giving me a review. They help lift the book out of the Amazon rabbit-hole. I’ve put Faeries Don’t Lie ebook on sale for $2.99 for the rest of the month of June, plus it is on Kindle Unlimited.
